Kalaru Holiday Village offers a sparkling getaway to NSW’s Sapphire Coast.
You’ll find all sorts of family-friendly entertainment within this 12-acre property (as well as the occasional visiting kangaroos). Dive into the swimming pool, challenge friends and family to a game of giant chess, jump on the bouncing pillow, hit the playground, and ride bikes around the park. Cook up your snags with the BBQs and camp kitchen, or head to the on-site café, CJ’s Takeaway. They’ve got all mealtimes covered: morning brekky and coffees, sandos and salads for lunch, and dinnertime burgers and fish and chips. Other handy park features include a dog run, laundry facilities, and free Wi-Fi.
There is a range of self-contained cabins available for booking, from studios to 6-berth capacity. Campers and caravanners can stretch out on grassy powered and unpowered sites. The park welcomes furry friends, with dogs allowed on all sites and in select dog-friendly cabins.
It takes less than 10 minutes by car to reach the seaside town of Tathra, with its blindingly beautiful beach, heritage-listed wharf, and springtime whale watching opportunities (season runs August to November). Head 20 minutes south to Merimbula to join whale watching tours or 45 minutes north to check out Bermagui. If you prefer the rolling hills, travel inland to Bega for art galleries, outdoor adventures, and the famous cheese factory. Explorers should check out the walking tracks, fishing and surfing spots, and spectacular lookout views at Mimosa Rocks National Park.

From Sydney, drive south via the Princes Highway (or Remembrance Driveway, Monaro Highway, and Snowy Mountains Highway) for approximately six hours. After passing Bega, turn left onto Tathra Road. As you arrive in Kalaru, you’ll find the park on the right side of the road.
